As per surveys, the technology inceptions of medical image analysis software markets with special reference to biomedical image processing has turned in making this industry 3.88 billion by 2022 and expected to grow by 8.2% annually, so there is huge potential in biomedical instrumentation as well as image processing.

Dr. Ramesh Manza

Ramesh R. Manza is presently working as Associate Professor in Department of Computer Science and Information Technology, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad. He has completed M. Sc. Computer Science in 1996, NET and SET in 2002, Ph. D. in Computer Science in 2006. Areas of specialisation includes Bio-Medical Image Processing, Diabetic Retinopathy, Glaucoma, Pattern Recognition and Computer Vision. Research publication is around 134 papers at national and international conferences and around115 papers in reputed peer reviewed journals. Completed One UGC Major Research Project on Diabetic Retinopathy of Rs. 12 Lakhs (2012-14) and projects sanctioned by DST on Diabetic Retinopathy of Rs. 24 Lakhs (2013-17). In research supervision, total 11 have been awarded with Ph. D. Degree and 32 students have been awarded M. Phil in Computer Science. Authored 11 Books primarily focusing on the research contribution in the area of Digital Image Processing, Biomedical Image Processing and Diabetic Retinopathy. Fellow of IETE, member of Cloud Computing Community IEEE, IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society Membership, IEEE Transactions on Medical Imaging, IEEE Biometrics Council, IEEE Nanotechnology Council, IEEE Sensors Council and life members of IAEng, CSTA, IACSIT, ISCA, ISSS organizations.
