Prof. Poonam Saini is currently working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh, India. She has received her Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering from National Institute of Technology (NIT), Kurukshetra, India in 2013 and M.Tech from UIET, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, India in 2006. She has received B. Tech. in Information Technology from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, India in 2003. Her research interest includes:

• Block Chain Technology
• Cloud Computing and Security
• Machine Learning based CAD-assisted healthcare
She has a teaching and research experience of more than 13 years. She has taught more than 12 courses at both UG and PG level. She has published more than 40 publications in reputed journals and conferences and has travelled national institutions and internationally to present papers in conferences and participate in academic and research activities. She has attended more than 20 Faculty Development Courses of 1-2 weeks at National Universities, IITs, NITs, Industry and other Institutions. She has supervised more than 30 dissertations at M. Tech level and has 06 ongoing PhD research scholars under her supervision in the area of Social Networks, Block Chain, Machine Learning, Map-Reduce paradigms. She is currently assisting as Co-PI in DST & Renewable Energy, Chandigarh sponsored Solar project. She has applied to sponsoring agencies for research projects in technologies like Crowdsourcing, Artifical Inteliigence and Big Data Analytics.
Prof. Sudarshan Iyengar has a Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Science and is currently working as an assistant professor at IIT Ropar and has been teaching this course from the past 5 years. Apart from this course, he has offered several other courses in IIT Ropar like Discrete Mathematics, Theory of Computation, Cryptography, Probability and Computing etc. His research interests include social networks, crowdscoured knowledge building and computational social sciences. His current research proects are "Predicting a Viral meme" (Yayati Gupta), "Understanding Crowdsourced Knowledge buidling" (Anamika Chhabra - Scientist), "Secure Computation" (Varsha Bhat) and "Network Sampling" (Akrati Saxena).
