The term growth refers to increase in physical size of the body and development to increase in skills and function. Growth and development are considered together because the child grows and develops simultaneously.

This course focuses on human growth and development over the lifespan,as well as careers that help people deal with various physical, intellectual and socioemotional issues, such as physicians, nurses, nutritionists, counsellors and social workers,
