Tourism geography is the study of travel and tourism, as an industry and as a social and cultural activity. Tourism geography covers a wide range of interests including the environmental impact of tourism, the geographies of tourism and leisure economies, answering tourism industry and management concerns and the sociology of tourism and locations of tourism. Geography is largely the study of the interaction of all physical and human phenomena and landscapes created by such interactions.” It is about how, why and where human and natural activities occur and how these activities are interconnected. The geography of tourism is dominated by number of key themes, which relate location, place, space, human and cultural characteristics, and the movement of people. The geography of tourism is also concern with the flows of tourism from generating countries to the destinations. These can be heavily influenced by the economic and political factors, with the flows of tourism from traditionally from developed countries to the less developed countries.
