A computer network is a set of computers connected together for the purpose of sharing resources. The most common resource shared today is connection to the Internet. Other shared resources can include a printer or a file server.

This course deals with fundamentals of computer network. It deals with various network models, types and OSI layers. This course provides uses of computer network, role of seven OSI layers etc. 

At the end of the course, the students will be able to build an understanding of the fundamental concepts of computer &computer networks, advanced networking concepts, network standards & protocols, mobile phone networks and network security etc.

Anand More is a Maintenance Engineer at the Computer Centre, Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore and teaching in UG and PG courses at School of Computer Science & IT, DAVV. He has exemplary knowledge in the field of Network administration and for a past decade he worked for IT Industry and Academic institutions in establishing and developing large size computer networks. He is a core member of “Network Security Laboratory” committee at SCSIT under DEST-FIST scheme and had established a lab for SCSIT. He has also technically coordinated online examinations at large scale. He is an organizing committee member of various conferences & workshops conducted in the University. His research papers are published in National & International journals and conferences. Performance enhancement of IT Infrastructure is his major area of interest and research. He has done M.Tech, MCA and M.Sc. in Electronics & Communications.
