In an academic career spanning close on two decades, Bringi Dev has taught at IIM Bangalore, IIM Kozhikode, Indian Institute of Technology, Mandi, SDM Institute for Management Development, Mysore and other educational institutions. He has also served as the Head, Communication Unit, IIM Bangalore on two occasions. He has also carried out consulting assignments for IIM Indore. At IIMB, Bringi Dev teaches in the PGP, EPGP, MPWE, MPEFB, NSRCEL LaunchPad and other programmes. He has conducted communication skills workshops for Officers & Staff of the Institute. In the realm of executive education, he has taught companies such as Alstom, CBDT (Income Tax), Cognizant, CPWD, the Government of Meghalaya, KPMG, Kuliza, Oil India Limited, ONGC, Oracle, Reliance Industries, SwissRe, Syntel, ThoughtWorks and Vestas. His areas of specialisation include Communication Science, Management & Business Communication, Entrepreneurial, Leadership & Organisational Communication. Industry & Entrepreneurial Experience
He was the founding President and Managing Director of IDG Media Private Limited, a subsidiary of the Boston-based media and information services International Data Group. He has also served as Mentor with MentorSquare (www.mentorsquare.com) and as Corporate Advisor to Future IP Labs (www.futureip.com), a cluster of start-ups. Earlier he was Executive Director, The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), Bangalore Chapter. He has held positions in Sales, Marketing and General Management in companies such as Compaq, IBM, Wipro, Sperry-Univac and Eduquity Career Technologies.
A mechanical engineer from IIT Madras, Bringi Dev holds a post-graduate diploma in management from IIM Bangalore.


Rakesh Godhwani



Adjunct Professor of Communication at Indian Institute of Management Bangalore

Rakesh is an Adjunct Faculty of Communication at IIM Bangalore, coaches promising startups and senior managers in the industry, gives seminars and talks in corporate events and colleges, reads a story to his kids every night before they sleep, bicycles, does yoga, writes, earns a fraction of what he used to, but lives a million times better. Rakesh’s research and teaching interests focus on how a charismatic leader builds a persuasive message to impact audiences. His fourth book titled “Public Speaking Kaleidoscope” was released by Business Expert Press USA in May 2017. His earlier book “What to Say and when to Shut Up!” was published by Penguin Random House in November 2014 and translated in Marathi in 2017. Rakesh recently launched his online course called “Present with Confidence” designed for young learners from Class 9th and above. Rakesh has worked in Wipro, Intel and Qualcomm in various profiles ranging from product marketing, sales and business development before he took the plunge to pursue his passion in academia. Rakesh is an alumnus of NIT Karnataka (BE Computers, 97), IIM Bangalore (PGSEM, 2004), and Cardiff Metropolitan University (PhD, 2018).

Course certificate

Type of exam: Computer based exam

 You will have to appear at the allotted exam centre and produce your Hall ticket and Government Photo Identification Card (Example: Driving License, Passport, PAN card, Voter ID, Aadhaar-ID with your Name, date of birth, photograph and signature) for verification and take the exam in person.

You can find the final allotted exam centre details in the hall ticket. The questions will be on the computer and the answers will have to be entered on the computer; type of questions may include multiple choice questions, fill in the blanks etc.

FINAL CERTIFICATE: Weightage: 25% weigtage for weekly assignment + 75% weigtage for final exam.
Passing Marks: You will be Eligible for Certificate Only if you score minimum 40% Weekly Assessment and min 40% in Final Exam.

If you score less than 40% in either weekly assessments (avg) or in final exam, you will not receive the certificate.
The final score will determine if you will/will not receive a certificate.

1. Final score < 40%: NO certificate.
2. Final score between 40% -49.99%: Grade D.
3. Final score between 50% -59.99%: Grade C.
4. Final score between 60% -84.99%: Grade B
5. Final score of 85% and above: Grade A
