Prof. Rajendra Prasad Pandey is a Hindi critic, bilingual writer and translator. He writes in Hindi and English and translates from Hindi to English & Vice-Versa. Dr. Pandey has received his degrees of graduation from university of Allahabad, his M.A., M.Phil & Ph.D. (Hindi) degrees from JNU, New Delhi & Diploma in Translation from Kendriya Hindi Sansthan, Agra (Centre-Delhi).
 
Prof. Pandey has been engaged in permanent position in the University system of higher education as teacher since Jan. 1996. He joined as Reader & Re-designated as Associate Professor in SOTST, IGNOU, New Delhi on 11th Feb 2009, and he has been promoted as Professor since 11th February, 2012. He has held position of Director, SOTST, IGNOU, for three years from 2nd June 2014 to 6th June 2017. Again he has held the position of Director of the SOTST from 6th June 2020. Before joining IGNOU he worked as Lecturer, Senior Lecture, Associate Professor (Hindi) in Government Colleges of H.P. including Government P.G. College Dharmshala, under the Deptt. of Higher Education, HP. from 31st Jan. 1996 to 10th Feb. 2009.
