The present course aims at introducing the basics of the Russian grammar and gradually builds competence in Reading and Writing Russian. The objective of the course is to introduce learners to the basics of Russian grammar so that they can read and write Russian in an accurate manner. Indirect method of Teaching has been used for this course. The course will enable learners to Read and Write Russian with confidence in their daily communications.

Mr. Shivaji Bhaskar is Assistant Professor in Russian at the School of Foreign Languages, IGNOU. His area of special interest is Teaching of Russian as a Foreign Language (РКИ), Culture & Civilization of Russia, Translation & Interpretation and Area Studies with special emphasis to Russian and Eurasian Studies.
