Instructional Design is a system of developing well structured instructional materials using objectives, relative teaching strategies, systematic feedback and evaluation. Instructional designers often uses technology and multimedia as tools to enhance instruction. 
This course on Instructional Design helps you to develop an understanding of history and evolution of Instructional Design, Principles and characteristics of the design and development of instructional material, the various competencies and skills in Instructional Design, design and development of e-learning materials and modes and models of Instructional Design and the role of teacher as an effective designer. 
This course is part of approved University level curriculum for Master in Education(M.Ed.), It can be taken by students at any level of teacher education and in service teachers of different faculties. It will enable them to master all the ideas of Instructional Design 
Through this course you will learn and understand the creation of instructional experiences which makes the acquisition of knowledge and skill more efficient, effective and appealing.

Instructor bio




Dr. Sajna Jaleel, is an Associate Professor at School of Pedagogical Sciences, Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, Kerala, where she teaches Educational Research, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design and different electives on Education. She is Ph.D. from University of Kerala. She is a post graduate in both Mathematics and Education from University of Calicut and bachelors in Mathematics and Education from University of Kerala. Dr.Sajna Jaleel has successfully supervised  nine doctoral theses and supervising a number of research scholars  at Mahatma Gandhi University. She is serving as a Teacher Educator at Master of Education(M.Ed.) , M. Phil and Ph.D. programmes. She has taught classes on different areas of Education at different Teacher Educations Institutions in Kerala. Ably she completed major research project sponsored by UGC and presently course co-coordinator of fresh MOOCs on UGC-SAWAYAM platform. She has a number of research papers to her credit. Dr. Sajna's interests are in  Mathematics Education, Educational e-content development, Instructional Design, Educational Psychology. Brain based Learning and Learning Styles. She has also consulted for different government, private and international agencies.
