AICTE has been appointed 9th National MOOCs Coordinator (NC) vide MHRD vide letter No.8-26/2014-TEL, dated 02.08.2017 for all courses that do not fall in the purview of any of the existing NCs including foreign university courses. Terms and Reference (TOR) for appointment of AICTE as NC are governed by MHRD’s Order No.8-26/2014-TEL, dated 9th March, 2016.AICTE has been appointed National Coordinator for NRCs also identified by MHRD under PMMMNMTT for preparation of Annual Refresher Programme in Teaching for faculty of the Engineering/University/ Institutions for MOOCs Development under SWAYAM.

 It has come to the notice of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) that certain unscrupulous individuals are impersonating themselves as SWAYAM Course Coordinators and sending emails to learners of Self-Paced Courses attempting to deceive them to deposit fees through the unauthorized links and other fraudulent means.
