Basically I don't see much of a difference between regular classes and online learning. I look at online learning as new way of the 21st century NPTEL courses are enhancing learning thru technology. The overall system of nptel is really good. You get assignments from time to time and also the questions are standard.These courses are free. You can learn from videos and solve assignments for free. If you want to take the certification exam then you have to pay ₹1100/-. If you complete the course successfully, you will get a certificate with IIT or IISc tag that you can mention in your C.V.The standard of the final exam is also good as it belongs to IITs and IISc.Anyone from anywhere can do these courses.They provide detailed solutions of assignments.
