The objective of this course is to familiarize the students with the concepts and practices of finance in the corporate world and develop their analytical skills, conceptual abilities and substantive knowledge in the aforesaid field. It attempts to make the subject of finance comprehensive enough to incorporate international history and practices. This gives a global context to the course and hence thorough understanding of the whole financial system is guaranteed. The companies have to work in a global environment and hence study of the said factors is important. The entire study program is designed in such a manner that step by step, starting from the basics of corporate finance along with changes in the international finance system. The concepts of business finance especially focuses on basics of finance, investment and dividend decisions and the later are related to international finance which covers topics of exchange rate mechanism and payment methods, important agencies that smoothen the flow of international funds and lead to overall economic development.
